The approach of the TASTETOP technology is in a bottle top with TAB, which is intended for the cold beverage market. The first development was aligned for flavored TABs only. Different flavors and in further consequence the enrichment of TAB contents with nutritional and sports supplements are envisaged. Parallel to the development of the bottle top with flavored TABs to the production stage, several versions of bottle tops have been developed and the fields of application have been expanded as well.

Tetra Pak is a brand of beverage cartons, which are being distributed by the same named company with origin in Sweden. Since the 1950s Tetra Pak started distribution worldwide, in particular as packaging for milk. The brand name became a common noun for beverage cartons in the German Language.
PET-bottles are plastic bottles made out of polyethylene terephthalate. During a thermal process the bottles are shaped from PET-blanks. Since the end of 1980s PET is being used as packaging material with a screw-cap in the beverage industry. In countries like Germany, where plastic bottles may be reversed, there are one-way and multi-way PET-bottles. The reusable bottles have a thicker wall and are more stable then disposable bottles. Multi-way bottles need to be replaced after 20-25 times of usage.
